On 28 December 2020, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, Executive Vice President of the Thai Red Cross Society, proceeded to Bhumisiri Mangalanusorn Building, King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, the Thai Red Cross Society (TRCS), where she was presented a New Year’s gift as well as received financial support donated for the operation of the Thai Red Cross Children’s Home, the Red Cross Children Home Village in Nakhon Pathom Province, and the eyeglasses for the elderly project.
The Princess then chaired the 1st steering committee meeting of the Thai Red Cross Children’s Home for the fiscal year of 2021. The meeting participants discussed a number of issues, including; the operation of the Red Cross Children Home Village and the Self Sufficiency Economy Demonstration Center in Nakhon Pathom Province, the progress of assistance for orphans after the tsunami disaster who are being taken care of by adoptive families. At present, fifty children are under the care of the Thai Red Cross Children’s Home while 633 children have been with adoptive
families since 1981.
