From 27 – 30 March 2023, 10 Singapore Red Cross delegates made a study visit on humanitarian operations to Thai Red Cross Society which included the National Blood Centre, Queen Saovabha Memorial Institute, Relief and Community Health Bureau, Red Cross Health Station No.11 Wiset Niyom, First Aid and Health Care Training Center, Youth and Volunteer Bureau, School of Global Health, Princess Sirindhorn Craniofacial Center of King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital and AIDS Research Center. The delegation also made a study tour to Princess Sirindhorn Mobile Eye Surgery Unit at Thammabhosi Temple in Prachin Buri province.
During this visit, the Singapore Red Cross delegates also exchanged and shared their experience on community services, psychosocial support, youth and volunteer programs with relevant units of Thai Red Cross Society.
On 29th March 2023, the delegates paid a courtesy call on Mr. Tej Bunnag, Secretary General, together with Dr. Apichart Chinwanno, Assistant Secretary General for External Relations at Disaster Operation Center, Relief and Community Health Bureau.
