On 15 March 2021, the Meeting of Southeast Asia Red Cross and Red Crescent Leadership and the Timor-Leste Red Cross Society was briefed by the Myanmar Red Cross Society (MRCS) about the situation in Republic of the Union of Myanmar and discussed ways to aid the MRCS. The MRCS provides 246 first aid units nationwide as well as first aid training. It needs Southeast Asia RCRC’s support in various ways, such as first aid materials, walking shoes for front line volunteers, well-equipped ambulances, stretchers for ambulances, fuel oil, ambulance maintenance money and volunteer support such as food and beverage.
The Thai Red Cross Society (TRCS) invites the general public to donate such items to the International Relations Department, Administration Bureau, TRCS, or send financial support to Siam Commercial Bank, Thai Red Cross Society Branch, account name “The Thai Red Cross Society for Disaster Relief” (สภากาชาดไทยเพื่อภัยพิบัติ), account number: 045-3-04637-0.
