Asst. Prof. Yuwaree Pichitchok, Acting Director of the Thai Red Cross AIDS Research Centre, Dr. Opas Kankawinpong, Acting Director General of the Department of Disease Control, the Ministry of Public Health, and Ms. Saisom Wongsasuluck, President of Fundraising for the Thai Red Cross AIDS Research Centre, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha at the Government House on 13 November 2020, to promote the 2020 World AIDS Day candlelight ceremony. This year’s event was held with the aim to increase public awarenes regarding HIV and their knowledge of HIV and AIDS as well as to reduce stigma and discrimination against AIDS and gender.
