This will be the first coordinated response to a public health crisis of this magnitude that will make use of current service systems such as face and iris recognition technology to collect, analyze, and track data. This system has been developed by NECTEC and iRespond, which is connected with the Ministry of Public Health’s “Moh Prom” application, to register to receive the vaccination for those who do not have Thai citizenship and evidence in civil registration. The procedure is temporarily setting a personal ID for the vaccinated persons, starting with 1 alphabet, followed by a 13-digit number so, in the future, the Thai Red Cross Society could provide additional vaccines or receive more donations, it will be able to expand the service coverage to more groups of people in various areas across the country.
