Due to the new wave of COVID – 19 outbreak in Thailand, blood donations have declined, leading to blood shortages across the country. Blood donations have dramatically decreased by 50% making blood supplies run low. As a result, the Thai Red Cross National Blood Centre is unable to supply enough blood to hospitals.
The Thai Red Cross National Blood Centre always adheres to safety measures according to the Ministry of Public Health’s Department of Disease Control’s strict guidelines, to ensure people trust their safety procedures. During these difficult times, the Thai Red Cross National Blood Centre is now urging all eligible and healthy donors to donate blood at the Thai Red Cross National Blood Centre in Bangkok, all Regional Blood Centres throughout the country or the nearest hospitals.
