On 25 August 2021, at the Sriyanon Meeting Room, Royal Thai Police Headquarters, Bangkok, Mr. Tej Bunnag, Secretary General of Thai Red Cross Society (TRCS), and Deputy Police Chief Pol. Lt. Gen.Piya Uthayo signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the initial distribution of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). On this occasion, Air Chief Marshal Subin Chewpreecha, the Grand Chamberlain, Pol. Lt.Gen. Pakapong Pongpetra, Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, and Ms. Sutharat Punnya, Director of the Thai Red Cross Finance Bureau, also participated in the ceremony.
According to the TRCS goal, 1,100 automated external defibrillators (AED) would be delivered for installation in all the 76 provinces of Thailand by the Ministry of Public Health while around 262 AED were donated to the Royal Thai Police. Moreover, AED Application has been created by TRCS to ensure efficient use and accessibility while the Royal Thai Police will continuously host internal training on AED usage for their officers.
