On 12 December 2020, at Padtayapatana Building, Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, Professor Suttipong Wacharasindhu, M.D., Director of King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital (KCMH), the Thai Red Cross Society and Dean of Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, presided over a Royal Cremation Ceremony for Great Teachers in Academic Year 2019 and gave certificates to 261 relatives of the great teachers. The ceremony was held by sophomore medical students in the academic year 2019 to pay respect and gratitude to those who donated their remains for human anatomy education. The royal cremation ceremony was organized on 13 December 2020 at Wat That Thong, Bangkok.
After the ceremony, the cadavers were moved to 25 temples for cremation and their bones and ashes were collected on 29 December 2020.
