On 29 January 2024, an official letter from Myanmar Red Cross Society proposing cross-border humanitarian assistance for displaced people along Myanmar and Thailand border was received and Thai Red Cross Society responded that it was ready to support this humanitarian initiative based on the fundamental principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. The chairpersons of the Provincial Red Cross Chapter of Tak and Red Cross District Branch of Mae Sot will represent Thai Red Cross Society in delivering 4,000 relief kits to Myanmar Red Cross Society at the Second Thai–Myanmar Friendship Bridge in Mae Sot District on 25 March 2024 for distribution to internally displaced people in Myanmar.
