Thai Red Cross Society Provides Sinopharm COVID-19 Vaccines to Migrants
On 5 October 2021, Mr. Tej Bunnag, Secretary General of Thai Red Cross Society (TRCS), along with board members visited the Sinopharm COVID-19 Vaccination Unit for Migrants Who Have Not Been Vaccinated at the Relief and Community Health Bureau, TRCS, and praised the work done by medical personnel, volunteers and staff. The vaccination unit was operated with collaboration and support from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), and Migrant Working Group (MWG) as well as Thai and Burmese medical volunteers in registering migrants who have not been vaccinated.
TRCS has the preliminary target to provide Sinopharm COVID-19 Vaccines donated by the Red Cross Society of China to 5,000 migrants. Besides the vaccination venue at the Relief and Community Health Bureau, the vaccines were also provided at Thai Red Cross Health Stations No. 2 Bangkok, No. 11 Wisetniyom, Bangkok, and No. 5 Sawangkaniwas, Samut Prakan.
