On 9 December 2022, Thai Red Cross Society sent financial assistance amounting USD 20,000 (THB 699,000) to support Palang Merah Indonesia (Indonesia Red Cross) in rescue operations and relief works to people affected by the earthquake in West Java Province, Indonesia.
According to Palang Merah Indonesia’s web report, since late November 2022, the earthquake has damaged almost 41,000 buildings and killed over 300 people. More than 100,000 individuals became displaced because of this disaster.
