Thai Red Cross Society has allocated a humanitarian emergency fund of USD 20,000 (approximately THB 700,000) to Moroccan Red Crescent and is open for donations to support their relief operations in the Kingdom of Morocco
On 8 September 2023, a powerful earthquake of 6.8 magnitude struck Marrakesh, Morocco, which was widely affected. The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC)’s website claimed on 14 September 2023 that more than 6 million people were affected, 2,562 injured, and 2,091 dead in this disaster. Including habitations, consumer goods, public health systems, and public utility systems are badly damaged. Now, Moroccan Red Crescent is cooperating with IFRC to help the earthquake victims.
