Due to the new phase of COVID-19 pandemic, the Thai Red Cross Society (TRCS) sends urgent assistance to vulnerable people.
Mr. Grisada Boonrach, Director of the Thai Red Cross Chapters Administration Office, said that the Thai Red Cross Chapters Administration Office along with the Relief and Community Health Bureau, TRCS, have provided relief kits including daily necessities such as blankets, mosquito nets, clothes face masks, and alcohol gel to COVID-19 patients who stay at field hospitals through Provincial Red Cross Health Stations and Provincial Red Cross Chapters or via Phon Phai Application.
Mr. Pichit Siriwan, M.D., Deputy Director of the Relief and Community Health Bureau, TRCS, said that the Relief and Community Health Bureau is ready to assist COVID-19 patients who are staying at field hospitals with relief kits and daily necessities. Village health volunteers nationwide can request relief kits via TRCS’s Phon Phai Application for people in quarantine at home who lack food and are adversely affected by restricted circumstances. Assistance can be delivered within 24 hours for most provinces and 48 hours in three southernmost provinces.
