On 2 July 2024, Thai Red Cross Society Delegation led by Secretary General Tej Bunnag made a visit to Japanese Red Cross Society Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. Both societies discussed and shared experiences on disaster management and social welfare for senior citizens. The delegation also visited “ReCross Hiroo”, a welfare service facility for the elderly located in Japanese Red Cross Medical Compound.
The delegation paid a courtesy call on Mr. Atsushi Seiki, Japanese Red Cross Society President, and exchanged views on strengthening bilateral and multilateral humanitarian cooperation including blood services, nursing education, first aid, and assistances to vulnerable displaced people along Thai-Myanmar Border.
On this occasion, Mr. Atsushi Seiki, Japanese Red Cross Society President, awarded “The Golden Order of Merit” medal, the highest level of commendation that the society gives, to Mr. Tej Bunnag, Secretary General of Thai Red Cross Society, in recognition of his outstanding leadership and the humanitarian activities of Thai Red Cross Society.
