On 15 August 2024, Ms. Tammi Sharpe, the representative of United Nation High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and Ms. Nivene Albert, the Deputy Representative of UNHCR, Multi-Country Office for Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Tej Bunnag, Secretary General of Thai Red Cross Society, together with Dr. Apichart Chinwanno, Assistant Secretary General for International Affairs. Both sides exchanged views on humanitarian assistance to displaced people from Myanmar.
