Mr.Phan Wannamethee, secretary general of the Thai Red Cross Society , Mr. Tej Bunnag, Assistant Secretary General for Administration of the Thai Red Cross Society, Professor Suttipong Wacharasindhu, M.D. Director of King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, Dr Thares Krainairawiwong, Department of Health Service Support (MoPH), Professor Dr Boonchai Stitmannaithum, Director of Chulalongkorn Field Hospital and a Committee from Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University visited the readiness of Chulalongkorn Field Hospital which is opening for service on 22 April at Chantana Yingyong building inside the National Stadium.
Chulalongkorn Field Hospital is a field hospital for epidemics level 1 and can accommodate 100 beds. It is aligned with standard of MoPH in terms of venue, personnel and medical equipment to take care of patients contracting COVID-19 with no severe symptoms and do not need complex care. The medical team can examine and consider if the patients need to be transferred to Chulalongkorn Hospital under the TRCS which has more capacity and is fully equipped. The target group is students and personnel of Chulalongkorn University and anyone contracting COVID-19 with mild or without symptoms who cannot be admitted in another hospital.
