Lt.Gen. (Retd) Amnat Barlee, M.D., Director of the Relief and Community Health Bureau, the Thai Red Cross Society (TRCS), presided over the opening ceremony of an event called “Volunteer for Dad 2021” on 15 December 2020. The Relief and Community Health Bureau, TRCS, along with partners held this event during 15 – 17 December 2020 in honor of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great and His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua. The other objective is to improve the quality of life of people in Phop Phra and Mae Sot Districts of Tak Province.
Under this project, 3,500 sets of winter kits were distributed to the vulnerable and 1,200 other sets to children. Also, sport accessories, water chillers, medicines and medical supplies were donated to First Aid rooms of schools in the area. Mobile medical units were also sent out to provide local people with medical treatment for common and dental diseases as well as information about health care. Volunteers visited and provided winter kits and medical check-ups to vulnerable and disabled people.
