Following the gracious initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, Executive Vice President of the Thai Red Cross Society (TRCS), to help those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Princess graciously granted permission to the TRCS to set up “the Mobile Kitchen of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn” to provide freshly cooked meals to people on 7-16 July 2021 at Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi, Khlong Luang District, Pathum Thani Province. This is the 13th TRCS Mobile Kitchen of the H.R.H since the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic.
On 7 July 2021, Mr. Tej Bunnag, Secretary General of the TRCS, presided over the mobile kitchen opening ceremony, and handed over 3,277 sets of cooked meals to representatives of 7 districts in Pathum Thani Province. Mr. Tej also visited and provided cooked meals, drinking water, and relief kits to an elder, a person with disabilities, and the underprivileged in Khlong Luang District.
Since the start of the third wave of the pandemic, TRCS Mobile Kitchens of the H.R.H have provided 145,104 sets of freshly cooked meals to people in Prachuap Khiri Khan, Buri Ram, Nakhon Sawan, and Trang Province. The Mobile Kitchen will keep providing help in other provinces until the pandemic situation improves.
