On 4 April 2024, Thai Red Cross staff from International Relations Department and Chapter Administration Office attended Restoring Family Links (RFL) Training held by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Bangkok Delegation. This training aimed to strengthen capacity of Thai Red Cross staff in humanitarian assistance according to the RFL Strategy of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement 2020-2025.
RFL was originated when Mr. Henry Dunant, the Movement’s founder, delivered a message from a dying soldier in the battle of Solferino to inform family about their beloved’s fate. At present, RFL was developed the services to cover separated persons caused by armed conflict, disaster, and humanitarian crises. The RFL Strategy for 2020-2025 includes prevention, accessibility, answers, and support. This strategy will be extended to 2030.
