On 9 June 2021, Professor Emeritus Visit Sitprija, M.D., Director of Queen Saovabha Memorial Institute (QSMI), Thai Red Cross Society (TRCS), and Mr. Luecha Worawiwat, Managing Director of Biogenetech Co., Ltd., signed a cooperation agreement on BCG vaccine dissemination and distribution.
QSMI is the sole manufacturer of BCG vaccine in Thailand. The World Health Organization (WHO) has designated BCG as a basic vaccine against tuberculosis that all newborns should receive. This cooperation agreement aims to support the access of BCG vaccine in the country and abroad also to ensure the good quality of vaccine distribution system.
