Dato’ Danial Iskandar, Acting Secretary General of the Malaysian Red Crescent, and Ms. Andreanne Tampubolon, Head of Public Relations and International Cooperation of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), made a study visit to the Relief and Community Health Bureau, such as the relief items warehouse, mobile dental clinic, Thai Red Cross Optometrist and Eyeglasses Center, etc.
Mr. Tej Bunnag, Secretary General of Thai Red Cross Society, handed over a donation of USD 100,000 (approximately 3.3 million Baht) from the people in Thailand to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to support humanitarian assistance for the earthquake victims in Myanmar. The donation was received by Ms. Mirjana Spoljaric Egger, President of the ICRC on the occasion that the ICRC delegation paid a courtesy call on Mr. Tej Bunnag, Secretary General of Thai Red Cross Society, together with Dr. Apichart Chinwanno, Assistant Secretary General for International Affairs and exchanged view on the humanitarian work of Thai Red Cross Society and the current implementation of international humanitarian law.
Thai Red Cross Society, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, organised the 11th Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Lecture on International Humanitarian Law. The event was graciously presided over by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, Executive Vice President of the Thai Red Cross Society.
