Thai Red Cross Society has contributed USD 30,000 (approximately THB 1 million) to the Venezuelan Red Cross to support relief operations for people affected by the earthquake in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
On 24 June 2026, a series of powerful earthquakes measuring 7.2 and 7.5 magnitudes struck the northern region of the country near Caracas, the capital of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. The earthquakes were followed by numerous aftershocks, causing widespread damage and the collapse of homes and other buildings. The disaster has claimed thousands of lives, while tens of thousands of people have been injured or reported missing.
The Government of Venezuela has declared a national state of emergency, and the Venezuelan Red Cross is working urgently to provide humanitarian assistance and support to those affected by the disaster.
