Mr. Tej Bunnag, Secretary General of Thai Red Cross Society, along with the delegation, participated in the 22nd Southeast Asia Red Cross and Red Crescent Leaders Meeting, held from 22–24 September 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The meeting was organized to promote humanitarian cooperation among Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement in the region, including the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Major topics of discussion included disaster preparedness, community health promotion, sustainable resource mobilization, and youth empowerment.
On this occasion, Thai Red Cross Society presented the Green Red Cross Project, which is implemented in alignment with the organization’s targets as outlined in the Climate and Environment Charter for Humanitarian Organizations. The project was one of the key topics that attracted interest from Red Cross and Red Crescent societies across the region.
Additionally, the Thai Red Cross delegation participated in the Humanitarian Forum, where discussions focused on the future of humanitarian action in Southeast Asia. The forum also emphasized strengthening regional cooperation, particularly in the development of disaster law and the promotion of compliance with international humanitarian law (IHL).
